How to Prepare for Surgery
To ensure the best possible outcome, follow these pre-surgery guidelines:
- Avoid eating or drinking for at least 6 hours before your procedure if undergoing IV sedation.
- Take all prescribed medications as directed by your surgeon unless told otherwise.
- Arrange for a trusted adult (18 or older) to accompany you the day of surgery and drive you home after your procedure.
- Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing and avoid wearing makeup, jewelry, or contact lenses.
- Notify our team of any recent changes to your health, including colds, infections, or medications.
